Financial Planner & Transfer Specialist

An ordinary conversation on an ordinary day spurred Niki Boyd towards a career in financial services. She was talking with her dad when he told her how proud he was of her and how he wanted her to buckle down and focus on her future as she continued to provide for her three kids. That was one of the last conversations Niki had with her dad; he passed away not long after. Niki wanted to invest the money he had left her but wasn’t sure where to start and decided to teach herself about investing. The experience inspired her to pursue finance as a career.
Niki started out in retail banking, then worked for Charles Schwab before moving to Scottrade in 2015. She eventually moved into the role of Investment Consultant, where she met directly with clients and assisted them in finding solutions to meet their specific needs. As a Client Service and Transfer Specialist with Layman Lewis, she establishes new client accounts, oversees the account transfer process, and troubleshoots issues that may arise for clients.
The firm’s focus on clients and team atmosphere convinced her that Layman Lewis was the right place for her. “I knew the moment I walked through the door of this office I was right where I needed to be,” Niki says. “Most firms have a list of products they offer, and I had to figure out how to shape a client’s situation to meet the firm’s need. We don’t do that here. We look over each client’s unique situation and determine how we can develop a plan of action for them. It’s always based around the client’s goals, wishes and dreams – never the firm’s.”
Outside of work, Niki keeps busy with family activities. She is mom to Nataleigh, Ethan, and Logan, and her household also includes Ellie the maltipoo and Betty the beta fish. Her family enjoys spending time together, playing games, sports, and enjoying local hiking trails.
