    Meet Julie Sperry

Director of Communications and Event Coordinator

Julie Sperry loves meeting new people. That’s just one of the qualities she brings to her role at Layman Lewis, where she organizes all of the events and seminars. She also manages the first appointment process for new visitors to the firm and contributes to marketing projects for the firm. “There is something exhilarating about making a connection with strangers,” she says. “A unique life story is connected to everyone…if only I had more time to hear all those stories!”

Joining a financial services firm was a career shift for Julie. Before relocating to Colorado, she managed a bakery in Winston-Salem, NC. The bakery was located inside the largest hospital in the city and served many doctors, nurses and patients throughout the day. However, she wanted something different.

“I was praying for a new opportunity, something that would be fresh and new,” Julie says. “I’ve always had a desire to be financially savvy, but opportunities to learn were scarce. I was so new to all of it that even coming up with questions was overwhelming. I just knew I wanted to know more! Looking back, God had it in his plans to bring me to a place that could fulfill that dream.”

Julie loves the team atmosphere the firm provides. “Everyone who works here has the same goal: to give 110% at doing their best for others,” she says. “Our advisors are focused on building relationships with their clients. I can breathe easier knowing I work for people who truly want what’s going to benefit the client, not themselves.”

    More About Julie

Outside of work, Julie loves to travel, whether it’s an hour or a country away. She can often be found doing something outdoorsy with her husband, Jacob, and their dog Sampson. Julie loves mountain biking and hiking with Sampson, as well as shopping and spending time with her mom and sister.
